ADDITIVES

Even though we strive to add as little to our beer besides malt, hops, yeast and water, the homebrewer sometimes needs a little help. We have been able to avoid most of the additives in our brews but we find that the addition of a teaspoon of Irish Moss during the boil and a teaspoonful of gelatin finings at bottling provides us with a crystal clear beer that rivals any filtered beer. Othe additives may impart flavor and body or adjust your water for proper ph.
